Treehouse: The Decentralized Fixed Income Layer for Digital Assets

In a DeFi landscape dominated by floating rates and unpredictable yields, Treehouse emerges as a pioneering protocol offering structured, secure, and scalable fixed income products. With over $550M in Total Value Locked (TVL) and listings on major exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and OKX, Treehouse is building the foundation for a new era of on-chain financial stability.

What Is Treehouse?
Treehouse is a decentralized fixed income protocol that introduces two core innovations:
1. Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR)
A benchmark rate-setting mechanism inspired by LIBOR and SOFR, DOR enables:
- Transparent, consensus-driven interest rate curves
- Reliable pricing for lending, borrowing, and derivatives
- The first live benchmark: Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR)
2. tAssets (Liquid Staking 2.0)
Yield-optimized staking wrappers like tETH and tBNB that:
- Combine base staking rewards with interest rate arbitrage
- Enable borrowing and restaking for amplified yield
- Remain composable across DeFi protocols
Token Spotlight: $TREE
- Token Name: TREE
- Utility: Governance, staking, rate forecasting, and ecosystem rewards
- Launch: July 2025 via Gaia Token Generation Event
- Airdrop: 10% of supply distributed via GoNuts Season 1
- Current Use Case: Stake TREE in Pre-Deposit Vaults to earn up to 75% APR
TREE is more than a governance token — it powers the infrastructure behind Treehouse’s fixed income layer, enabling users to participate in rate-setting, staking, and structured yield products.
How tAssets Work
Treehouse’s tAssets are designed to maximize yield while maintaining safety and flexibility. Here’s how the strategy unfolds:
- Stake Native Asset
Deposit ETH, BNB, or other supported tokens into a liquid staking platform. - Supply LST as Collateral
Use the resulting Liquid Staking Token (LST) as collateral in lending markets. - Borrow Native Asset
Borrow ETH or BNB against the LST collateral. - Restake Borrowed Asset
Stake the borrowed asset again to receive more LST and repeat the cycle.
This rehypothecation loop amplifies staking rewards while managing risk through Treehouse’s built-in safety mechanisms.
🔍 Yield Breakdown
- Base Yield: From LST staking
- Market Efficiency Yield (MEY): From interest rate arbitrage
- Bonus Rewards: Nuts, restaking points, and campaign incentives
Real Yield Example with tETH
Let’s say you stake ETH and receive tETH:
- You earn Ethereum PoS rewards via Lido or similar platforms
- You supply tETH to lending markets and borrow ETH
- You restake borrowed ETH for additional rewards
- Your total yield = LST APY + MEY + campaign bonuses
This strategy has historically outperformed stETH while maintaining low risk exposure.
GoNuts Season 2 — The Forest Evolves

The golden nuts have cracked, and the forest pulses with new energy. GoNuts Season 2 has officially begun, ushering in a smarter, more rewarding era for Treehouse participants. Whether you’re a veteran squirrel from Season 1 or just discovering the canopy, this season offers deeper engagement, clearer mechanics, and richer rewards.
What’s New in Season 2?
Season 2 is a complete reimagining of the GoNuts system, designed for clarity, scalability, and deeper integration:
🔧 Buffs: Simplified & Supercharged
- Specific Buffs: Targeted multipliers for LPs, vaults, and yield markets.
- Universal Buffs: Apply across all assets and stack with Specific Buffs.
- Squirrel Army Buff: 50% permanent boost for Season 1 participants.
🏅 Badges & Quests
- Magical Badges: Visual markers of your contributions and achievements.
- Weekly Quests: Complete tasks to earn Nuts, Buffs, and Quest Points.
- Tier System: Rise through ranks for exclusive rewards and recognition.
📊 Dashboard Upgrade
- Track Nuts, Buffs, badges, and TREE NFTs in one intuitive interface.
- Monitor APRs, vault performance, and leaderboard rankings.
🧙 Partner Protocol Buffs
- Earn extra Nuts by engaging with Treehouse allies like Curve, Pendle, and gtETH vaults.
Security & Governance
- 10+ audits across smart contracts and staking mechanisms
- Insurance Fund to protect against protocol-level risks
- Panelists & Operators govern DOR feeds and ensure data integrity
- Delegation: Users can assign tAssets to panelists to support rate forecasting
Treehouse is not just another DeFi protocol — it’s the infrastructure layer for on-chain fixed income markets, bridging the gap between traditional finance and decentralized yield strategies.
